Classes consist primarily of Vinyasa Flow, yet poses are often held within the flow to allow time for work on alignment. Vinyasa connects the breathe with movement, so that your yoga practice becomes a dance in itself. The constant movement of Vinyasa Flow, allows you to enter a sort of meditative state as you practice. Poses are often held for a short period of time to allow for work within the pose, and encourage self correction through feeling the pose more deeply through its holding.
Many of the poses practiced and offered are taken from the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga. Adaptations are always available to create a pose that is accessible to all who are practicing.
Pre and postnatal classes offer appropriate poses for preparing for labor or tightening, toning and reconnecting with yourself and your baby. Classes are informative and fun, bring a mat, yourself and your smile!
"Yoga practice is like life. Each circumstance in which we find ourselves is like a pose. Some poses are hard to hold, others are pleasant. It is how we hold the pose that determines whether or not we will suffer or grow and whether or not we will listen to the drama of the ego or the wisdom of the spirit."
